Mission & Vision

Urban Connection Austin

Urban Connection Austin (UCA) is a faith-based, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization operating as a d/b/a under its parent organization, CitySquare (formerly known as Central Dallas Ministries) and based on their model, mission, and values. UCA is dedicated to building genuine community in the city of Austin by connecting neighbors in need of resources and opportunities with neighbors that can offer both and build genuine community in that partnership.

To accomplish this, UCA partners with other non-profit organizations, individuals, churches, and government agencies to complement, rather than duplicate, existing services, and to offer an expanded base of volunteers providing service and community to our neighbors in north Austin. This is in keeping with the guiding principle of UCA to "love your neighbor as you love yourself," treating everyone we serve as neighbors and inviting them into this ministry as partners.

This is the vision of community that Jesus called the "kingdom of heaven."

Our Mission is "to partner with those in need to fight the root causes of poverty and help them on the path to a safe, healthy, and sustainable future."

Our Focus is on the neighborhoods along the "Rundberg Lane corridor" of north Austin.

Our Vision is to promote safe, healthy, and prosperous neighborhoods in north Austin by lifting people out of poverty instead of moving them out of the neighborhood.
