Urban Connection Austin
Urban Connection - Austin (UCA) is a faith-based, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based on the model, mission, and values of its parent organization, Central Dallas Ministries. UCA is dedicated to building genuine community in the city of Austin by connecting neighbors in need of resources and opportunities with neighbors who can help offer those opportunities and secure those resources.
To accomplish this, UCA will partner with other non-profit organizations, individuals, churches, and government agencies to complement, rather than duplicate, existing services, and to offer an expanded base of volunteers providing service and community to our neighbors in north Austin.
This is in keeping with the guiding principle of UCA to "love your neighbor as you love yourself," treating everyone we serve as neighbors and inviting them into this ministry as partners. We believe that when neighbors who can offer resources and opportunities partner with neighbors in need of those resources and opportunities, both are empowered and blessed and genuine community is established.
This is the vision of community that Jesus called the "kingdom of heaven."
Our Mission is "to share the love of God in word, action and attitude while building genuine community in the neighborhoods where we live and work."

Our Vision is to help strengthen and revitalize the neighborhoods in 78753 to maintain and foster the rich ethnic, religious, racial, and socioeconomic diversity of north Austin and "lift people up without moving them out."
