- Summer Lunches for Hungry Kids
This summer for the third year in a row, Urban Connection Austin will partner with our parent organization, CitySquare (formerly Central Dallas Ministries) to provide healthy lunches to children in low-income neighborhoods through the summer lunch program administered by the Texas Dept. of Agriculture. This program feeds thousands of hungry kids in Dallas and Austin every summer.

- ESL/SSL Classes
We need volunteers to teach this unique group of language learners this Fall. More than a language course, this will be a time of cultural cross-pollination, where Spanish and English speaking students will learn from one another about each other's culture, language, traditions, and food! As in all of our activities, relationships are the first priority. We need a dedicated and trained ESL instructor to conduct this unique activity, as well as English-speaking volunteers that want to learn Spanish this way.

We would love to document, edit, and post all of the wonderful things going on in the neighborhoods of north Austin for all to see. We need a volunteer with the basic equipment, time, and talent to act as our videographer. We would like to post videos at the rate of about one per month, no longer than 3 minutes each.

- Administrative Assistant
We need a volunteer who is great at organizing to help us create and maintain our administrative structures and procedures. Ideally this person would visit our offices one day a week for a few hours, just helping us make sure the trains run on time.
